My credit card is being rejected

If you receive an error message regarding your payment info, don't worry!!! This is usually a simple issue to resolve and you will find out how to do so in this article.

 

There are generally three instances when you might receive an error message regarding your payment info:

  • Upon initial sign up, our system isn't accepting your card information
  • You are trying to update your payment info in your already existing account to a new card
  • You received an email about your card being expired or having "insufficient funds"

 

The error message you receive might look similar to the one shown below

What to do

Note: Because these issues are generally a simple fix on our end, there's no need to contact your bank except as a last resort after first contacting our team.

 

Solution for error #1: Your card isn't being accepted by our system when signing up or updating your payment info

  1. Go through the the sign up process or card updating process again in a private/incognito browsing tab.
  2. If it still doesn't work, contact us by emailing customersupport@worshipinitiative.com or through the chat box on our site

 

Solution for error #2: You receive an email from us about your card being expired or having "insufficient funds"

  1. If your card is in fact expired, you can update your payment info through the following steps:
    1. Log in and click "My Account" in the dropdown menu under your name in the upper right corner of the screen.
    2. Click "Credit Card" in the left hand navigation menu.
    3. Enter your updated info and click "Update Card".
  2. If you receive a message saying your card has "insufficient funds", you can take the following steps:
    1. Wait 24 hours. This message can be caused by multiple things and doesn't always mean that your card actually has insufficient funds. Usually, this error will be automatically resolved within 24 hours.
    2. Reach out to our team at customersupport@worshipinitiative.com.
    3. Try using a different card (however, you will probably receive the same error message even with a different card so be sure to contact our team first so we can spot any underlying issues 😁).

Note: You may receive an error message after updating your payment info saying we encountered an error trying to bill your card. This will usually be automatically resolved by our payment processor within 24 hours and doesn't require you to do anything further.
